Managing Articles
Create, edit, and organize Help Center articles
Help Center articles are the building blocks of your public help site. Each article can include rich formatting, images, and structured content blocks.
Sections & Subsections
Organize articles into a hierarchical structure:
- Go to My Help Center in the sidebar
- Create Sections (top-level categories like "Getting Started", "Billing")
- Add Subsections under sections for finer organization
- Place articles within sections or subsections
Creating an Article
- Navigate to My Help Center
- Click Create Article (or add within a section)
- Enter a title
- Choose a section/subsection
- Write content using the Editor.js blocks
- Set status: Draft or Published
- Save
Editor.js Blocks
The article editor supports these block types:
| Block | Use Case |
|---|---|
| Paragraph | Standard text |
| Header | Section headings (H2, H3) |
| List | Bulleted or numbered lists |
| Quote | Callouts and citations |
| Code | Code snippets with syntax highlighting |
| Table | Tabular data |
| Image | Screenshots and diagrams |
| Delimiter | Visual separator |
| Checklist | Step-by-step tasks |
Article Templates
Choose a template when creating an article:
- How-to - Step-by-step instructions
- Concept - Explanatory content
- Troubleshooting - Problem → solution format
- FAQ - Question and answer
Templates pre-populate structure to help you write consistently.
Status: Draft vs Published
| Status | Visibility |
|---|---|
| Draft | Only visible to you; not on public site |
| Published | Live on your Help Center; indexed by AI |
Change status anytime. Unpublishing removes the article from the public site but preserves content.
