Help Center Analytics

Track human views and AI retrieval metrics

Help Center analytics provide dual metrics: how humans find your content and how your AI uses it.

Two Metrics

Human Views

Page visits to your public Help Center:

  • Unique visitors
  • Page views per article
  • Popular sections
  • Traffic over time

AI Retrievals

How often the AI uses each article when answering chat questions:

  • Retrieval count per article
  • Which articles drive answers
  • Gaps (questions not well answered)

Accessing Analytics

  1. Go to My Help Center
  2. Click Analytics in the sidebar or header
  3. Select date range
  4. View dashboard

Per-Article Stats

For each article you can see:

MetricDescription
ViewsHuman page visits
RetrievalsTimes AI used this in responses
TrendUp or down vs previous period

Section Performance

See which sections get the most traffic and retrieval. Use this to:

  • Identify popular topics
  • Find underused but important content
  • Plan new articles

Date Filters

Filter by:

  • Last 7 days
  • Last 30 days
  • Custom range

Compare periods to track improvement.

Best Practices

  • Review monthly to spot trends
  • High views + low retrievals may mean article isn't answering chat questions well
  • High retrievals + low views may indicate chat handles it; consider linking from Help Center
